What AI models does PopAir use?

PopAir integrates frontier AI models from leading providers. For chat: Claude (Anthropic), GPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Grok (xAI), DeepSeek, Qwen, and more. For images: Flux, Seedream, and other state - of - the - art image generation models. We continuously add new models as they become available.

Which macOS versions are supported?

PopAir requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel Macs.

How does the credit system work?

PopAir uses two types of credits: Chat Credits for AI chat (1-10 credits per message depending on model tier) and Power Credits for image generation, editing, meeting transcription, web search, and other compute-intensive features. Credits are allocated monthly based on your plan and reset each billing cycle.

What's included in the Free plan?

The Free plan includes 100 Chat Credits and 30 Power Credits monthly. You get access to Eco tier (DeepSeek V3, PopAir Flash, Qwen Turbo) and Balanced tier (Claude Haiku 4.5, GPT - 5 Mini) chat models, plus basic image generation. No credit card required.

What's the difference between plans?

Free: 100 Chat + 30 Power Credits. Eco and Balanced tier models.
Basic: 2,000 Chat + 400 Power Credits. All models including Smart tier.
Pro: Unlimited chat + 1200 Power Credits. Chat freely with all AI models.
Max: Unlimited chat + 3,000 Power Credits. Best for heavy users.

Do unused credits roll over?

No, credits reset monthly and do not roll over to the next month. We recommend choosing a plan that matches your typical monthly usage. You can upgrade or downgrade anytime.

Can I switch plans anytime?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the app settings. When upgrading, you get immediate access to new features. When downgrading, the change takes effect at your next billing cycle.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes. PopAir uses AES - 256 - GCM encryption for your chat messages. We never store your AI inputs on our servers. All AI interactions are processed in real - time and not retained. We only collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the product.

Does PopAir store my conversations?

Your chat history is stored locally on your Mac using encrypted storage. We do not upload or store your conversations on our servers. You can delete your chat history at any time from within the app.

Does PopAir work offline?

AI features require an internet connection as they rely on cloud - based AI services. However, some features like viewing your chat history work offline. Full offline AI support is on our roadmap.

How can I manage my subscription?

You can manage your subscription directly in the app via Settings. View your credit balance, check subscription status, upgrade or downgrade plans, and cancel anytime. For billing questions, contact support@popairapp.com.

Will new AI models be added?

Yes. We're committed to staying at the forefront of AI technology. We regularly add new models as they become available, including the latest from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and other leading providers. All new models are automatically available to subscribers at no extra cost.

Can I get a refund?

If you've barely used your credits and the service isn't meeting your expectations, contact our support team at support@popairapp.com within 7 days of purchase, and we'll work with you on a refund.
